Have you just graduated university and feel concerned about the lack of jobs being advertised? Or have you been made redundant and struggling to find something new? What about moving up the ladder when no one seems to be hiring?
 
Join us for an evening with London’s top specialist publishing recruitment consultants to hear their insider knowledge and hints and tips on getting a job. We’ll also be offering careers clinics for personal one-on-one consultations with specialists. The evening will also include drinks and networking.

Penguin, a leading publisher, together with Foyles Booksellers and LAW a literary agency are offering a one year joint traineeship to a graduate or applicant educated to degree level from a Black African, Caribbean, Asian, Chinese or mixed heritage who is eager to learn the ins and outs of the book trade. This won’t be a contract of employment but you will gain experience of working in editorial, sales, rights and marketing departments and get a fantastic insight into all aspects of publishing with the broadest experience possible of bookselling and literary agency work. The successful trainee will be paid a training bursary.
