Our Start Right: classroom organisation and behaviour CPD seminars take place in 12 locations across England and Wales. They focus on just-qualified teachers in your locality.

After the resounding success of last year’s event, the 2009 Career Fair is set to return this October and for the second year in a row will be held alongside the Eurogamer Expo. Further information regarding Career Fair exhibitors will be announced in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on the Eurogamer Expo website for updates. Tickets for the Career Fair & Expo are on sale now priced £6 per day.
This year’s show will take place in two cities – London and Leeds – with the London event on October 30th and 31st at Old Billingsgate and the Leeds event taking place at The Royal Armouries on October the 27th and 28th.
The Career Fair will provide an excellent opportunity for visitors to meet face to face with developers, publishers and universities. Whether you’re a graduate looking to begin a career in video games or an industry veteran looking for that next big step, the Career Fair will have something to offer you.
Meanwhile, the Eurogamer Expo will give gamers the opportunity to play this winter’s hottest titles before their official release with many world renowned publishers having already agreed to exhibit their games at this year’s show.

Swansea University Schools of Arts and Humanities and Health Science Fully funded PhD Studentship THE HISTORY OF DISABILITY IN WALES POST-1700 £16,680 stipend per annum, plus UK/EU fees Swansea University is offering a fully funded 3 year PhD studentship for the following project: THE HISTORY OF DISABILITY IN WALES POST-1700 Disability History has emerged over the past decade as a significant area of academic research. Historians of disability are demonstrating how perceptions of impairment are socially and culturally constructed and subject to change over time. Yet there has been very little research on disability history in Wales. This studentship aims to address this neglect. The topic for the research will be selected from the following list after consultation between the successful holder of the studentship and the project leaders: · Disability and the eighteenth-century poor law · Asylums and hospitals for disabled people · ‘Special’ education in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries · Cultural representations of disability · Rehabilitation · Industrial-related chronic illness and disability · Post-war oral histories of disabled people The studentship includes a £16,680 stipend per annum, plus UK/EU fees.
Eligibility: • Applications are invited from candidates with a good first degree in History or a related discipline. A qualification at Masters level will also normally be expected. • These awards are open to UK/EU applicants only.
