The Big Deal is aimed at first year students from all backgrounds. It’s a hugely successful annual event that has been widely praised by everyone, including the national press. We now hold this event in London, Birmingham and Leeds.
You’ll be taking part in a realistic simulation of big business by working on a deal involving several parties. The parties want to merge and, depending on who you represent, you’ll be involved in activities ranging from brokering agreements and creating marketing strategies, to hosting a press conference. The day ends in the boardroom where everything is, hopefully, thrashed out to a successful conclusion.
Along the way, you’ll learn an enormous amount about commercial reality, teamwork, the law and the art of persuasion.
The Big Deal 2009 will be held on 4th April 2009 – for more information and to apply go to: http://www.eversheds.com/graduaterecruitment/Events/thebigdeal.asp
Comments from the Big Deal 2008

“I had such a good time at the Big Deal over Easter, so thank you to the team once again for such a great opportunity.”
“Thanks for the fantastic experience I had at the Big Deal event. I learnt a lot about commercial awareness and teamwork and very much enjoyed meeting the Eversheds staff.”
“The event not only vastly developed my knowledge of the commercial world but also further inspired my interest in it. I felt it was an amazing and extremely worthwhile experience.”

“The UK’s leading Recruitment Agencies and Jobsites website”
This really useful website enables you to find and contact a recruitment agency, conduct a local job search and access UK job sites specific to your industry.
It is really easy to use; you can first use the quick links to search for either recruitment agencies or jobsites specific to your sector e.g. Charity, Education, Creative/Design, Health/Social Care. Alternatively you can search under “Graduate”.
You can then generate a more advanced search, searching by skill, regional area, or by the name of the agency.
